Only when it's over 20 years old! As long as it's installed correctly and taken care of well, you can enjoy your luxury vinyl plank or tile floor for a long time.

Durability and stability

Vinyl is hardly fragile, but this version is five times thicker than the original product. In addition, it's layered, and anything layered automatically becomes more solid and stable.

At the top is a wear layer. This clear, strong, melamine coating protects the floor from scratches and scuffs.

These floors are also waterproof, which adds to their durability. In addition, the floor is impenetrable, whether a small spill or a large flood.

A necessary but straightforward pre-installation process

Luxury vinyl tile (or plank) is waterproof, but the product has tiny air holes. You can't see them, but the breeze circulates.
When it's humid, the material will expand and change shape. When it's cool and dry, it will shrink and gap.

It's worth your while to deliver the product a couple of days before installation. Then, leave the opened boxes (or pieces, if you have the room) for 48 hours before placing them.

It will give the LVT or LVP a chance to adjust to your home's temperature. Keep in mind that the warehouse climate may be very different from yours.

Then let the professionals install it. It's fast, easy, and uncomplicated, but when done right and enhanced, the product will look great and perform well for a long time.
